About
Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Jennifer Johnston-Jones has found that the most positive change results from strength-based interventions and positive psychology. She brings together the wisdom of Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Jungian and Positive Psychology into a customized treatment for each patient. She is also influenced by Holistic Healing and Postmodernism. She received training from the University of Oregon, California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Children’s Hospital LA, The Children’s Collective, St. John’s Hospital and the San Bernardino County Dept. of Behavioral Health. Dr. Jennifer Johnston-Jones believes in social advocacy as she works toward Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of “”be[ing] the change you wish to see in the world.” As such, she founded Seeds of Joy Village, an early childhood and community center aimed at giving children and their parents essential tools for a lifetime of joy. Dr. Jones also founded Psychology for Change, an organization of charitable psychologists and therapists who give their patient fees to the charity of their patient’s choice. Her upcoming book “Ten Secrets to Raising a Joyful Child” was inspired by her firm belief that every person has a right to happiness. Dr. Jones is fueled by the desire to help others realize their potential and their joy.
